Regulation 1851 sword belt plate
« on: May 04, 2012, 11:47:56 AM »
This find came from 2009 in Raytown right on the Santa Fe Trail.  A Regulation 1851 sword belt plate with bench mark #19, field repaired.  Mark Parker from W&E estimated the value to be $250-$300 as is.  Along with this great find, we unearthed an entire 19th Century life story of artifacts.  You can read the entire story of this fabulous property at http://jolinhunt.tripod.com and click on the photo of the house on the left.  Enjoy!

Chris, Thanks for posting!  I know when you found this it never got the attention it deserved due to being just before the club meeting.  This is an awesome find, maybe we should start a club of people who have found one.
