Thank you Johnny Ringo!
« on: October 22, 2012, 08:52:56 AM »
Johnny Ringo saw the thread I started about all the rings I have found since moving here to Kansas.
He likes old coins and hunts sites that hold these types of targets and older relics so he doesn't come across a ton of rings.
I am a park hunter and look for jewelry and find a bunch of rings.
He won a very nice ring display case at the annual hunt and offered it to me, I won a 1907 Barber half that I like but I wouldn't do  much with it except hoard it so we traded at yesterdays meeting.
He wanted to see a pic of what it looked like filled so here it is.
Thanks again, Johnny...appreciate the gesture more than I can express.

Top row is all the gold rings I have found in the last 2.5 years, second row and the middle 3 in the third row is the silver.
The rest is junk rings, some cool and some real junk.
The bottom are real cheap kids rings and one by one I will replace the real junker ones with better stuff as I find them now that I have a place that keeps them all together.

The best part of this display is after I filled it and showed it to the wife she seemed very impressed.
I show her all my cool finds as I find them, but I don't think she really had any idea on how many rings I have found in my short time in this hobby till they were presented to her in this way.
I believe she thought mostly I just liked digging in the dirt.
F70/Mojave/F2/Compadre/Judge 2...2017 finds...Clad, 11 silver targets including a freaking Barber quarter and two V nickels!

Reality continues to ruin my life!

Nice display case for a great assortment of truly good finds.
My mamma always said. "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
SO EASY EVEN A CAVE MAN COULD DO IT.
