Best I can say is that it's a button  with the design of a 1921 Morgan on it. Morgan were made from 1887 to 1921.
when it was made or why don't know.  Darn good find.

Cool find buddy.  Sure beats my weekend haul of $9 clad.  Glad you are back in town so we can knock on doors and find silver. This past weekend the Yak team went scoreless. sgn80 You in Hays, Yerby moving, and me only on a clad scoop. /roflmao

It's a Commemorative type button. It more than likely dates to a key year such as 1946 which would be that coins 25th Anniversary. It is not silver given the condition of the backing and shank. It may be silver plated.
